2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: “2 Corinthians 9:8“

In Proverbs, we learn that a generous person will prosper (Proverbs 11:25). In Galatians, Paul writes the famous words: “for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7) In these closing words to the Corinthian church, Paul again discusses about the wisdom of generosity. Being generous with our gifts and giving isn’t a legal requirement for meeting the demands of the church or denomination, but simply because cheerful giving and wise generosity delight the Lord Who has saved us by His grace and has given us everything we need.

Our almighty Heavenly Father is all powerful. Because He created all things, He can supply all our needs. However, don’t skip the second part. The Lord gives us blessings so that we can live a life full of good works! Our lives will be full of good deeds if we generously share in the name of Jesus, as the apostle Paul encourages. When we take our eyes off of our possessions and focus less on what we lack, we begin to see that our almighty dear infinite loving Heavenly Father has all we need to live purposeful lives.

So don’t be afraid to give generously to people in need. Whenever you need anything, our almighty dear Heavenly Father will provide! His grace abounds toward you, and He is able to provide all you need.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thank You for the free gift of salvation and for the many blessings You have lavished upon me by grace. You provide me in all my needs. Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, please let me never have any doubt’s whether You will. Teach me how to trust You in times of need and follow You more closely in faith. Give me a generous heart that gives cheerfully and willingly to others, regardless of my circumstances. When I don’t have the resources to help others, help me to show compassion and kindness to those in need and to pray for them. We can trust You to provide for all our needs! Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty, wonderful dear Lord, Saviour and Redeemer.
