James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. (James 1:1-7)
These beautiful encouraging bible verses come from the letter written by James, Jesus half-brother, to Jewish Christians who had been scattered throughout the Mediterranean world because of persecution. People often say it is easy to believe in God when life is good. But in the event of the loss of someone we love, the loss of our job, or as a result of becoming seriously ill, what will happen to our faith?
That is the real test of our faith. In addition to telling the
persecuted Jewish Christians to be patient, James also tells them that we must develop patience through trials, on which we are tested by God in our faith. It is throughout our trails (experience) individually that our almighty dear caring Heavenly Father helps us and desire us to become His children, and glorify His mighty wonderful fulfilling name. Our strength is to endure throughout our almighty dear caring Lord Jesus Christ, He is always being there for us no matter what challenges or circumstances we may face we can fully trust and believe that our almighty dear caring Lord Jesus Christ is there for us, and hears our prayers to make us strong to overcome our troubles.
James 1:2 “Count it all joy” while undergoing trials our attitude is very important. If we are convinced they will bring a good result and are permitted by God for improving our spiritual life, then we can regard it as “all” joy. See (John 16:33); (Romans 5:3-5) and (2 Corinthians 8:2). God desires His children to be spiritual and strong in their faith. He desires us to be “perfect and completed” (compare Ephesians 4:13-15). He desires us to be able to patiently endure anything that may come to us in this temporary age of our life. Our Trials (experiences) are one means God uses to refine us as silver is refined as we can read in (Psalms 66:10-12) as result to be fulfilled in the likeness of Jesus Christ’s character…
